Audrey’s Barkyard Private In-Home Dog Training
Audrey’s Barkyard offers two In-home training packages. Our Basics Package and Premier Package. Private training sessions are great for clients that want a more customized approach to training their dog. Private sessions give you one on one sessions with one of our pro trainers in the comfort of your home.
The biggest difference with private lessons as opposed to our ‘Board and Train’ program is you are your dog’s trainer! We will serve as your dog training coach and teacher. We guide you as you train your dog and will help you to perform the lessons. This program is recommended for dog owners who have the time and patience to follow through on the lessons and practice the weekly assigned homework to reach your desired goals for your dog.
We start off with a free consultation at your home to discuss your training goals and then together pick the best training package to help you and your dog reach your desired goals.
Basics Package
The basics package is offered in a four-week and a six-week package. You and your trainer will discuss which option is best suited for you and your pup during your consultation. The training sessions are one hour in length weekly at your home. This training package creates a great foundation of obedience, manners and socialization. Perfect for puppies, new dog owners and for dogs with little or no training. We will address minor behavioral problems and teach you how to correct and manage them.
Every dog is different. Some need more time to learn new things. Add on In-Home training sessions may be suggested to reach your desired training goals.

Audrey’s Barkyard Private In-Home Dog Training (Premier Package)
The premier package teaches all the basic commands, introduces advanced behaviors and off leash training. This package consists of eight one-hour training sessions for eight weeks. Included in the premier package is an E collar Technologies Remote Training Collar. If you are looking for the complete training package, this is it!

Boarding and Training Packages
Let us do all the hard work for you! Our board and train programs are perfect for owners who do not have the time to work with their dog every day but would love for them to be well behaved. Our programs are not bootcamps. We encourage play and healthy socialization and want to bring out the best version of your dog! In addition to boarding and training your dog with us, they will also be included in our doggie daycare.
Audrey’s Barkyard offers three board and train packages that are customized for each individual dog. No two dogs need the exact same training, and we make sure that we cover the basics, customize a training plan, and reach your training expectations.
Our goal is to develop a dog who is obedient, confident and a dog that can perform the instilled training anywhere.
During your dog’s board and train program, we will also address and correct any of the following unwanted behaviors:

Two Week Board and Train Program
(Available to dogs and puppies five months of age and older.)
Our two-week board and train package is foundation training that’s on-leash. Your dog or puppy will be able to follow commands and tasks at home as well as in public settings.

Our three-week board and train package targets both on and off-leash obedience. Your dog will be thoroughly trained on all the basic commands and will be started on their journey to off-leash freedom.

(Available to dogs and puppies six months of age and older.) Our four-week board and train package focuses on more advanced on-leash and off-leash obedience. This is a transformative program that will give you the dog you have always wanted. Freedom to enjoy the beach, lake, park, brewery and all similar settings on- leash or off-leash without the worry. Your dog will be living “the best possible life ever!”

Behavior Modification – Reactivity and Aggression In-Home Training for You and Your Dog
(6) one-hour sessions
Reactivity stems from fear. When dogs feel threatened and/or scared, the natural responses will be to fight, flight or freeze. Most dogs will try to put as much distance between themselves and the threat; if the threat remains, they will turn to aggression or submit. Other dogs are overly confident pack leaders and will turn first to aggression.
Audrey’s Barkyard offers a 6-week intensive course that will give your dog, and you, the skills, tools, obedience, and desensitization that will help you keep your dog calm when their triggers appear. You will learn the foundation to successfully interpret your dog’s body language, interrupt the fixation on the fear item and change the behavior through your newly acquired leadership style. The one-on-one training sessions with your trainer are one-hour sessions weekly for six weeks. If needed, added one-hour sessions can be purchased. You will receive weekly personalized lesson plans and review sheets to practice in between training sessions.

Mark Herrmann
Trainer Mark Herrmann started learning about dog behavior at an early age. After observing his friend and his father training their hunting dogs on retrieving and obedience, Mark was amazed and hooked! Since Mark started in dog training, he has owned and operated a board and train business for many years, as well as working in the corporate hospitality industry.
Mark has studied under top-notch professional dog trainers over the years. Pat Nolan, founder of Tactical Directional Canine Systems, worked with Mark to help him learn advanced handling and obedience skills with one of Mark’s Labrador Retrievers, “Reno”. This dog placed in several competitions and was titled by the AKC as Field Champion and Master in Obedience.
Mark is best known as a dog trainer that nurtures the human-canine bond! He is a reward -based balanced dog trainer and specializes in puppy development and training all levels of obedience and behavior modification. Engagement and focus are the foundation of the training process, while keeping the lessons fun, even from the most distracted dogs.
